The Verum Scary Sharpening Set brings together all the essential components required for a fast, accurate and highly repeatable sharpening process. Each abrasive sheet is manufactured using heat-treated P-grade Aluminium Oxide grains bonded to a tough polyester film with a high-quality PSA backing. Originally developed for demanding micro-finishing applications such as camshaft grinding, these abrasives cut efficiently, resist tearing and last significantly longer than standard lapping films.

Our polycarbonate, sized for one-third sheet abrasives, promote efficient use of each film with minimal waste and provide a reliable substrate for every stage of sharpening—from backing off to final honing.

To support accuracy and ease of use, the set includes an accurate honing guide that delivers secure clamping and consistent bevel angles. A smooth-running roller ensures perfect application of abrasive films, helping prevent bubbles and ensuring maximum abrasive performance. The steel magnet, used with the film backing, removes metal residue from the abrasive surface, extending film life and maintaining fast, clean cutting throughout.

Completing the system is Verum Honing Fluid, formulated for low odour, low viscosity and optimal cutting speed, alongside Stay Put matting that keeps the entire setup steady and slip-free during use.
